Beyond time

The below is a video clip of my guru, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, during a teaching trip to Taiwan - a glimpse of Rinpoche's incredible kindness and tirelessness. There are some touching revelations from Rinpoche's students, including Huang Chunru, a Chinese translator and Venerable Roger (Rinpoche's Personal Attendant).  Huang Chunru is a fantastic translator who has been here in Singapore during many high lamas' teachings, including Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Dagyab Rinpoche, and the late Lati Rinpoche.

We see the compassionate side of Lama Zopa Rinpoche all the time. He does not stick to schedules, nor topics of teachings, nor timings. Rather, he observes the situation and teaches accordingly to what the students need to be taught that will benefit them karmically.

I have been through some of Rinpoche's teachings and there were sessions which lasted from early evening to the next morning 10am, sometimes at stretches of 16 hours non-stop, and Rinpoche does not need to rest or sleep.  In fact, Rinpoche does not sleep at all. Every second, every minute, he is in prayers, in meditation, teaching, blessing and benefitting others.  He said, if he cannot use every cell in  his body to benefit sentient beings, then there is no reason for him to exist. He is really an unbeeeeeelieeeeeeeevable and amaaaaaazzzzzzzziiiiing master, a Living Buddha.
