My only wish 愿

The Healing Lama, Kangyur Rinpoche healing & giving blessings

Over the weekend in Gaden Shartse Dro-Phen Ling, a thin middle-aged lady came up to me and spoke to me. She had wanted to know how she could participate in the Medicine Buddha puja which was due to begin.  Speaking in Mandarin with an accent, I realised she is from mainland China.  Seeing her wrapped up in a long-sleeved top and a scarf around her neck in the hot weather, I knew she was not feeling well. Her eyes were downcast and dull, with slightly dark circles under her eyes, and her face was pale. Speaking to her further, she told me that ever since she went back to China to visit her ailing father who passed away thereafter, she had been sick for over a year. She had previously knew about the centre after attending the great healing pujas in 2010 when the venerable Healing Lama, Kangyur Rinpoche was in town. She has been waiting to see the Healing Lama again.

After explaining to her about the puja and how the Medicine Buddha can help her, I asked her to make her sincere request to Medicine Buddha to heal her. Also it would be beneficial for her to attend the upcoming Grand Puja on 24-26 Feb which is a series of powerful, obstacle-clearing and healing pujas for the public conducted by Gaden Shartse Monastery monks. I also hope she can attend the weekly different pujas which aid in clearing different obstacles and thus, healing her. The centre would definitely be able to help her, whatever the causes are.

I have met so many people who are facing some problems or sicknesses, whether physically or mentally, and often they do not know how to find help. Even consulting a doctor and taking medication could not heal them. We need to first determine the cause of the problem/illness, and thus be able to find the right anecdote or solution to the problem. Otherwise, we would always be running around in circles, ridden with the problem and suffering in silence.  

I just heard this beautiful new song by Faye Wong, a fellow Dharma sister -  《愿》 My Only Wish - which was released on new year day. May this lady I met earlier be able to be healed as soon as possible.
