Years back, whenever we have family gatherings, the whole bunch of us would normally decide on a specific theme, and came to party with the agreed theme, just for the fun of it. I remember this get-together was a "Tie Party". All of us ladies and guys all came wearing a tie. It was such fun. And most of these are my aunties, mind you. All the oldies in my family are very sporting.
There was another time when someone went to Bangkok and bought back many pieces of a particular short T-shirt with horizontal stripes, in all the different colours she could find. And so the entire bunch each of us had no choice but to make sure we wear the Tshirt for a birthday party. There were yellow, red, green, brown, white and purple etc.... All here are some of my aunties....
And another daring Christmas, we had a "Over-The-Top" Xmas theme. So we plied on whatever our hands can lay on ... clothes, accessories, hand-sewn items, handmade items, underwear, netting, shorts, tights. We did not have a specific personality to imitate. We created our own image instead. Those days were such fun with my adorable aunties.....
