When a meal is a feast

I am always happy to find a good, value for money meal.  Found at Tekka Market, this Korean set meal costs only $5.00, Saba fish and pork with kimchi, rice and miso soup.  This is my favourite combination when I have Korean food. The other set meals range from $3.50 onwards.

My parents love this too.  I usually ta-pau (packed) Saba Fish and Pork for them whenever they feel like having Korean food.  Parents being parents usually do not want you to spend too much money, so they always choose 'cheap' and 'good' food. If we visit a restaurant, they would usually share one or two simple dishes instead of ordering a full set meal for themselves. I am lucky to have my parents with me, whether it is to share a simple meal or a lavish one. I think they are happy enough just to have me eat with them, a feast notwithstanding.

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." - Melody Beattie
