When I was having breakfast at the hawker centre last week, I was approached by a middle aged lady hugging a few packets of joss sticks. She was trying to sell joss sticks to me.
It is a common sight nowadays to see elderly people selling packets of tissue paper or lottery tickets. Or the handicapped approaching you to buy snacks or little soft toys. Or former inmates trying to sell you key chains. it is however the first time I was approached to buy joss sticks. I think the lady needs to find the 'right' product to sell if she wants to earn some money because I see that she didn't close any sale that morning.
