I have an unabashed craving for our local glutinous rice 糯米饭 on and off. This snack can be eaten during breakfast, or lunch or anytime you like. When the craving strikes, I like to eat the fine smooth glutinous rice which is mixed with nuts, with generous toppings of fried garlic, hay bee (dried shrimps) and sometimes tiny strips of mushrooms. It's a simpler version of the bak chang (rice dumpling wrapped in leaves).
